Geoff Schwartz Signs with Lions

Geoff Schwartz is back in the NFC Central this time blocking for Matt Stafford and the Detroit Lions. Geoff's brother Mitchell signed with the Chiefs, Geoff's former team, earlier in the off-season.

Freiman Heads to Washington

Former As Slugger, Nate Freiman, who was most recently with the Braves has been traded to the Washington Nationals. Too much competition at 1st base in the Braves organization. Freiman has a better chance of making the Nationals or being a call-up later in the season.

Farmar Continues with Grizzlies

Farmar has proved his doubters wrong. The point guard is back in the NBA to finish the season with the Grizzlies. Read more HERE.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have a new Jewish rookie, Zach Hyman. The center/wing is originally from Toronto, making playing for the Leafs a great fit. Drafted by the Panthers in 2010, he was the 2011 CJHL Player of the Year. He also played in the Maccabi games in 2013. In his young NHL career he has 2 goals in 8 games. Welcome and Mazel Tov!
