Former New York Yankees Ron Blomberg and Elliott Maddox, Baltimore Oriole hopeful Adam Greenberg, and former Miami Hurricane/current Orioles third baseman Danny Valencia will be the featured speakers at a panel discussion on “Jews in Baseball – from Generation to Generation.” The program will be held from Noon- 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, at Temple B’nai Aviv in Weston, Fla.
Attendees will be treated to a panel discussion with the players and other speakers, ballpark-style food, souvenirs, raffles, and a live auction…as well as some special surprises!

The event will benefit the David Lindenbaum Youth Scholarship Fund, which allows local teens who could not otherwise afford the cost to attend United Synagogue Youth events such as overseas trips to “March of the Living,” and other memorable Jewish experiences, and the Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center, whose mission is to enrich the lives of the local senior community by providing programs, activities, and services directed at medical and physical skill levels.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for kids ages five-12, and $10 for adults 65 and older; kids four-and-under are free. A “Family Pack” for $60 admits two adults and two kids. Tickets can be purchased at www.jewsbaseball.com or by calling 954-742-2299. For information about sponsorships for the program, contact Rob Isbitts at rob@sungardeninvestment.com or call 954-742-2299.
