Working for Their Spots

TGR is keeping an eye on both undrafted free-agents Alex Hoffman-Ellis (Rams) and Alex Gottlieb (Lions). Both trying to make their respective squads.

Hoffman-Ellis has made a nice first impression, but some doubt his speed and CBSSports thinks he will get cut. He has had a number of interceptions throughout training camp, and has displayed solid hands. While he has played sparingly during preseason, he has played well and is still in the mix for a roster spot, so stay tuned.

Gottlieb is fighting for his spot, although CBSSports is also not so optimistic with Gottlieb either. Click HERE to read more. MLive.com reports that Gottlieb got into some trouble August 14th. "Also during the half-line drills, tight end Alex Gottlieb and defensive end Ronnell Lewis got into a shoving match. The pair were eventually separated and chastised by the assistants overseeing the drill. It was the first of several chippy incidents during practice as the players grow weary of hitting each other in the late stages of camp."

Good luck to both!
And Let Us Say...Amen.
