Jersey Time

I have a few autograph jerseys hanging in my closet. My wife wants to frame them. She pulls out my junior high jersey and goes "I thought you were hanging all your autographed jerseys?" After explaining to her that it was not signed and belonged to me, we had a good laugh, but it got me to thinking about a new feature on TGR called Jersey Time. I will give you two or three jersey to decide which is more awesome to wear. You can vote on the sidebar. Today's choices:

Omri Casspi on the Kings

Jewish MLBers in the News

Lots of Jewish ball players in the news recently including retired, current, and future players.

ESPN noted that Ryan Dempster (not Jewish) who is being shopped around the league, recently tied a Cubs record for scoreless innings. The record set in 1969 by Ken Holtzman. The White Sox are one of the suitors for Dempters. Read more HERE.

Kevin Youkilis who had another game winner Friday night for the White Sox, has sent a letter to Red Sox Nation in anticipation for his arrival. Check it out HERE.
Sam Fuld continues to make progress back from his injury. Fuld has not played a game this season. He has been moved up to AAA. Read more on Super Sam HERE.

The Mets are interested in Red Sox cather Kelly Shoppach, which might be a perfect fit for both teams. The Red Sox have Ryan Lavarnway waiting in the wings. Lavarnway is batting .306 in AAA. To read more click HERE.

Rumors Circulating About Farmar

As much as we are excited about the possibly appearance of Lior Eliyahu in the NBA, we might be losing Jordan Farmar. RealGM.com is reporting that Farmar's contract will be bought out by the Atlanta Hawks (his new team) and Farmar will head to Istanbul for a 3 year $10.5 million dollar contract. Click HERE to read more. This would be a blow to our Jewish NBA and to Israel where Farmar played at the beginning of last season.
